So I’ve been living in accessories land of here. I’ve been crocheting up a storm of headbands, lunch bags, and of course this free crochet purse pattern that I designed specifically to hold a stainless steel water bottle. Free Crochet Purse Pattern (For water bottle or whatever)

sc= single crochet

hdc= half double crochet

dc= double crochet

Size g hook
Chain 3, join loop with slip stitch
Round 1- Chain 1, 6 sc, join loop with a slip stitch
Round 2- Chain 1, 12 sc  (2 in each space) join with a slip stitch
Round 3- Chain 1, 24 sc (2 in each space) join with a slip stitch
Round 4- Chain 1, 24 sc (1 in each space) join with a slip stitch
Round 5- Chain 1, 48 hdc (2 in each space) join with a slip stitch
Round 6- Chain 1, 48 hdc (1 in each space) join with a slip stitch
Round 7- Chain 2, 48 double crochet (1 in each space) join with a slip stitch
Round 8- Chain 2 , [1 popcorn, 2 DC (1 in each space)] x 16 , join with a slip stitch
(To popcorn work 4 double crochet in the same space and then join with a slip stitch to the first double crochet, joining all four together)
Round 9 Chain 2, 48 DC, switch colors before joining loop

Repeat rounds 8 & 9 until reaching desired height. I repeated rows 8&9 a total of 7 times

Straps
You can change colors every two rows or work the strap in one solid color.

Row 1 Chain 2, 1 popcorn stitch, 2 double crochet, 1 popcorn stitch, 1 double crochet

Row 2, chain 2, 5 double crochet

Repeat rows 1&2 until strap reaches desired length. Then sew onto the exact opposite side using yarn and your crochet hook. I repeated rows 1&2 a total of 36 times.
