Since learning of my son’s allergies it has been hard to find a variety of snack options for him. Over the past few months we have found snacks that work with his diet and palate—so, thought I would share!

Allergy Friendly Snacks for Kids

  • Rice cakes with fruit butter (apple, pumpkin, mango, fig)
  • Kale chips
  • Gluten free, Dairy free Trail Mix
    -Almonds
    -Gluten free Toasted O’s
    -Craisins
    -Dairy free, soy free chocolate chips
    -Banana chips
    Shake in a plastic sandwich bag…instant snack on the go. I end up taking a handful for myself because it is so yummy.
  • Fruit juice popsicle
  • Popcorn (made on stovetop with oil)
  • Homemade fruit leather (made in dehydrator)
  • Gluten free muffins
  • Carrot Sticks
  • Sweet potato fries or chips
  • Hummus with veggies
  • Chips and salsa
  • Fruit Smoothie with milk (almond, hemp, rice, etc.)
    ** good opportunity to add something green in like kale or spinach 🙂
  • Dehydrated crackers (haven’t made these, but hope to soon)
  • Lara bars (you can make these yourself)
  • Toasted pumpkin seeds
  • Roasted almonds
